Coverage From Video Game Challenge

March 2, 2010

The Uplifting Athletes Video Game Challenge was a success, as was expected. This time around Jordan Hall won the tournament, knocking out longtime teammate TP and reigning champ Duron Carter in the process.

Below is some local coverage from 10TV and NBC4 all rolled into one video!

TP Serves As Honorary Captain, Speaks to the Media

January 24, 2010

It’s been pretty quiet on the TP front since the team’s exciting Rose Bowl victory. (I can’t count how many times I’ve rewatched that game). The team is officially starting their winter workout program tomorrow, but tonight Terrelle spent a few hours of his time supporting Ohio State’s #4 ranked wrestling team as they hosted (surprise!) #13 Penn State.

TP

TP was an honorary captain for the match, which appeared to be a good move as the Buckeyes defeated the Nittany Lions 21-14.

Afterwards, Terrelle spoke to the media for the first time since New Years. He discussed how his knee is feeling now, and how much it affected him throughout the season, what he feels he needs to work on for the next season, as well as his leadership role. Watch the interview below, courtesy of the Plain Dealer, who has the full interview.

TP also talks about how active he is on Twitter. If you’re not already following him, you should do so: @pryor2two. He has to approve you, but he seems to accept all followers.

And for the millionth time, the Twitter account I use here (which is 100% unofficial) is @terrellepryor. If TP ever asked for it, it’d be his immediately! All he has to do is ask ;) . I signed up for it in November 2008. I just didn’t want it to end up in the hands of someone who would misuse it. Y’all know how it is on Twitter with fakes.

Video: Rose Bowl Stiff Arm Highlights

January 6, 2010

I made this last night. Quick little video to showcase the pwnage of TP’s arms vs. the Oregon defense.

Oh, and if you’re sensitive to cussing, make sure your sound is off. I busted out one of my favorite songs, by Westside Connection, because I thought it was appropriate.

Enjoy!

P.S. I don’t usually make highlight-ish video, so this is probably a little rough. I’ll leave the regular highlight vid creation to the pros, like the amazing lexco44. (Watch his Rose Bowl Highlight vid here) I just thought TP’s stiff arm display needed its own vid. This gets the point across, wouldn’t you say? Go Bucks!

Postgame Stuff: Michigan 2009 Edition

November 22, 2009

There are a number of postgame videos circulating and they’re all fantastic! This is what we fans want to see after games. Makes us feel like we’re right there on the field celebrating with our Buckeyes!

Rivals has a shorter version of the postgame celebration/Carmen Ohio, as does the Plain Dealer.

And how awesome was it that TBDBITL was so loud throughout the game? Loved hearing our Buckeye favorites while watching the broadcast! The loud O-H-I-O during “Hang On Sloopy” postgame was great to hear as well! Should the Big House be renamed The Horseshoe North?

Here’s TP’s postgame presser:

Even though it’s now officially “Michigan Week”, I’ll make just one more Iowa-related post. Gotta do the link roundup from all the postgame goodies, right?

And be sure to check out pictures from the usual suspects such as Josh Winslow, The Ozone, Rivals.com, and Bucknuts. Additionally, there is more postgame video from Rivals.

I said that week that I felt he was ready. Still is. TP’s getting better and better each week. He will be focused again this Saturday to make Senior Day a memorable one for his teammates.

Kneejerk: Week 9, NMSU

November 1, 2009

All right, all right, all right. Nice win today. Gave the team some confidence going into their big matchup in State College, which is all I really wanted. All that extra stuff I mentioned would just have been icing on the cake.

Had no clue that the reason TP didn’t play in the 2nd half was partially due to injury until after I got back home; not that that mattered to me. Heard Glen Mason unleashed his full fury on TP after that, and I will reserve my comments on that until later. But don’t be surprised if I need to go to OSU hospital because I’ve rolled my eyes so far back in my head that they get stuck…

The Bucks put together their 3rd shutout of the season with a 45-0 win. What do ya know? They covered that massive 44 point spread!

IN A NUTSHELL:

  • Stat of the game for TP? 0 turnovers. Yes, he only played one half, and yes “it was only New Mexico State”, but that matters to me. This team has rolled quite a few teams this season and TP still had at least 1 TO.
  • Not gonna lie, that horsecollar tackle (which unsurprisingly wasn’t called) scared me. TP could have been seriously hurt! He said he had a slight injury to his leg, but it’s not serious. So everyone calm down!
  • Speaking of missed calls…Big Ten refs continue to be garbage this season. Worse than usual IMO.
  • The team did not go 3-and-out on the first drive! Hallelujah! It really is the little things in life…
  • There were a couple of TP’s passes that were u-g-l-y and should have been picked, but weren’t. There were also a couple of passes that were simply beautiful. TP’s putting it all together. It’s a process, but he is progressing. He gets a big test next week.
  • Loved what TP did with his legs. 83 yards in one half of play is impressive to me, no matter who the opponent is.
  • THERE WERE PASSES THROWN TO THE TE!!
  • Trick plays? Most pleasant surprise of the day! Posey looked great throwing that TD. Didn’t know he was a lefty.
  • I continue to be disgusted with analysts and media members who are just waiting for TP to do something stupid so they can jump all over him. He not coming out of the locker room with pads was such a nonissue. Do you really think it was his idea anyway? Stop trying to drag this talent down and just do your jobs!
  • How many different RBs got carries today? 7? Out of all of them, I was most impressed with Mr. Jordan Hall. Just love what he can do with a small window. It’s like an automatic 3-4 yards each carry. Would love to see him get more looks, but realize that will be hard with Boom and Zoom back in the rotation.
  • There’s nothing cooler than hearing the ‘Shoe erupt in a chorus of “Boooooooommm” after he carries the ball. Missed that while he was out.
  • LOL @ Duron getting return man reps. Say what you want, you’re not going to have to worry about him muffing punts/kicks like Ray-Ray does…
  • My heart goes out to Aaron Pettrey after he took that cheap shot in the game. Having said that, our kicking game is on life support. For those not at the game, the wind was crazy at times at field level, but that’s no excuse. Going 1-5 in FGs is simply unacceptable. Barclay gets a pass because it was his first action and he wasn’t expecting it. But we can’t leave 12 points on the field like that going down the stretch.
  • This defense continues to be so fun to watch. I always seem to key in on Nathan Williams and Kurt Coleman. They are always in the thick of things. Can’t wait to see what they do next week against PSU.
  • TBDBITL put on the best halftime show I’ve ever seen! The Halloween theme was complete with “Ghoulverwines”, Ghostbusters props and participation from Brutus and some cheerleaders, choreography from Michael Jackson’s “Thriller” and more. If anyone knows if there is a video recording of that available somewhere, I’d like to be notified because I will gladly purchase it. That’s how much I enjoyed it!
  • I loved how Tress cleared the bench. We all knew he would. And it was nice to see the offense/defense still be productive no matter who was out on the field.

Not really much to talk about given the level of competition, and I’ve got no problem with that whatsoever. Bring on Penn State!
