Spring Game to Air Live on Big Ten Network
Last year, Buckeyes fans outside of the Greater Columbus area probably felt pretty left out on the day of last year’s record-setting Spring Game. The game aired live locally on WBNS-10TV, with a not-so-reliable web feed also being offered. Later on, a modified (read: shorter) version of the Spring Game aired on the Big Ten Network, but it’s just not the same, is it?
Not the case this year! If you have the Big Ten Network, you’ll be able to watch live! After 95K of us showed up to watch the greatness that is the Buckeye football team, the Big Ten Network probably realized that they could get a lot more eyeballs on their network if they showed the game live. That’s just smart business.
There are a total of 6 Big Ten conference spring games on April 24th, but the only one the BTN network decided to air live is Ohio State’s. (PSU’s will be on ESPN2) Even the men’s Lacrosse game that precedes the Spring Game is being shown live.
The remaining six Big Ten spring games will kick off on Saturday, April 24. The Big Ten Network will carry Ohio State’s men’s lacrosse game at 11 AM ET and its spring football game live at 1 PM ET. The network will air the telecast of Penn State’s spring game at 5 PM ET. Complete highlights, analysis and post-game reaction from those games as well as from the Minnesota and Northwestern games will be part of the Big Ten Tonight: Spring Football Report at 10 PM ET.
That’s power, folks! And yes, there will be other spring football-related programming on the Big Ten Network for those of you, like me, who are just feenin’ for any and everything football. Don’t front. You’re going through withdrawal too!
Remember, you can get your Spring Game tickets, ahead of time, here.
