TP Talks USC
While we are still in the midst of eyeblack-gate (I know. You don’t have to say it), there’s been little to no words from Terrelle. I said I wasn’t going to touch the topic, and I’m still not, except to say we need to get #2 in a media training class STAT!
Anyway, TP’s now talking about the big USC game this Saturday. Here are some choice words.
Talking about last year’s game:
”I was a rookie in that game, so I learned a lot of stuff from last year’s game — how fast everything is, and how quick you have to release the ball. It was a fun game last year, too, but we just fell short and had penalties and mistakes like that — you can’t have mistakes against them.”
On being the target of USC’s defenders:
”I know I’m the focal point on offense, and I’ll take that because I’ve been going through that all my life, through high school and all, but we have a lot of players that can do stuff with the ball. You also got to know that everyone on the team ought to be a focal point — they’re just as good.”
Final thoughts:
”It’s going to be a fight, and it’s going to be a war. I’m looking forward to it. It’s what you dream of — it’s going to be a real fun game.”
Meanwhile, the Trojan’s new freshman QB has just as healthy an attitude.
I really like the swag of both of these young quarterbacks (Barkley and TP). That’s what you want in your signal caller, IMO.
Here’s to a good game with no injuries!
