Spring Practice Starts Tomorrow

So, tomorrow is the big day! And while the first day of practice is closed to the media, as well as most sessions, at least we got some good stuff today compliments of Coach Tressel. He held his pre-practice press conference today and updated the media on topics such as roster moves and additions, injury updates, and the possible look of the offense come fall.

To no one’s surprise, there was a lot of Terrelle Pryor talk. This is his offense now, so that is to be expected. He won’t be running an O that is catered to Todd Boeckman’s strengths. While there has been speculation of the Buckeyes incorporating The Wildcat formation, Tressel stopped short of confirming a big change. His focus will always error-free football and execution. He does, however, mold his offense to his personnel. TP’s skill-set should give us something different to look forward to this fall! The Dispatch gives us some more gems from Mr. Pryor that will continue to endear him to the fanbase. You can tell that he’s psyched for Spring Ball.

“I can tell you the coaches are fired up. Coach Tressel is really fired up; I meet with him every day in his office and I can tell. Coach Bollman is more fired up than I can ever remember seeing him. I think this spring is going to be very fun. Everyone seems to be looking forward to it.”

Can’t hear this enough! Let’s hope this enthusiasm translate into an exciting and productive season!

“We want to get better every day, because these 15 practices, that’s all we have until fall camp. We want to use every single minute we’ve got.”

Well said, TP. Well said.

SPRING NOTES:
Tress keeps Spring Practice on lockdown, so aside from what we may hear from program “insiders”, don’t expect too much news in the next few weeks. If you’d like to get a progress report, from the coaching staff, your best bet would be to purchase a ticket to the Buckeye Football Spring Kickoff luncheon on April 8. Super Bowl MVP — and former Buckeye — Santonio Holmes will be in attendance.

- The Kick Scrimmage is on April 10. Media only.

- April 18th brings the Jersey Scrimmage; media and CoachTressel.com Sideline Pass members may attend.

- The Spring Game is April 25. Tickets are already available.
