TP and Boeckman to take field together?

Could it be? Is there a little bit of “trickeration” in store for the Buckeye offense out in Glendale?

Well, there could be if you believe the Columbus Dispatch, which cites always infamous “sources” in reporting the following news.

The word is that we could see some plays that featuring both Todd Boeckman and Terrelle. I assume that Todd would be the QB and TP would line up as a WR, but any combo with both of them could give the Texas defensive coordinators fits. These 2 have not been on the field at the same time, and with the increased popularity of trendy formations like the Wildcat, I say “why not us too?”

Followers of Ohio State, know that Jim Tressel’s M.O. as a play caller is that of an extremely conservative nature. Fans have been absolutely dying to see wrinkles all season. He broke tendencies was during the Northwestern Game when he called a fake punt for AJ Trepasso, a former HS tailback. The game was easily in hand, so it was a pleasant surprise. Trepasso later appeared on a local tv show and revealed that he thought it was Tressel’s way of giving Illinois and Michigan “something to think about”.

Is this “leak” just another attempt to throw a wrench into the Longhorns plans? Or are we really going to mix it up? I pray it’s the latter and not the former, but we’ll all have to see! Tress likes to play things close to the vest — pun intended — so if they really are going to try and pull this off, way to go, Mr. Source, for telling the whole world! Oh well, whatcha gonna do?

The team heads out to Arizona on Sunday, where the news will start to pick up again.
