Buckeyes Destroy Wolverines 42-7

And what a welcome it was!

And what a welcome it was!

Ohio State won its 5th straight game against Michigan this afternoon. And man, that was fun to watch! Well, the second half was, anyway. That first half was a little too close and sloppy for my liking. But the second half was a thing of beauty. Nice to see the coaching staff make halftime adjustments. I almost wished there were another quarter, so the show wouldn’t end!

It wasn’t the best day for TP2, but he got the win. That early INT could have been devastating, but like I predicted, the defense bailed the offense out. And how ’bout that amazing scramble, in the 3rd quarter, where he avoided multiple sacks and completed a pass to Sanzenbacher? Sick.

I really thought that this could have been the first “complete” game for Michigan. And it looked that way for a while. Then they showed their true colors: FAIL. I knew they were bad, but I didn’t think their QBs would be that bad. Seriously, they were terrible. Michigan should improve exponentially next season, just from the addition of 2 very good quarterbacks they’re getting.

Terrelle’s stats were 5/13 for 120 yards. He did not get anything going on the ground (-7 yards). Thankfully, we didn’t need him to. Big plays decided this game. TP2 also threw for 2 TDs, one to each of the Brians. All 3 of our QBs played, and it was wonderful to see Todd Boeckman throw a TD pass in his final game at the ‘Shoe.

Congrats to Terrelle for keeping his composure and winning his first pair of gold pants. Great day for the Buckeye seniors who have given so much to the program during their time here.

In A Nutshell…
1. Michigan makes our defense look even better than they are
2. Sam McGuffie rushed back from TX only to get knocked out of the game on a kick return? Ouch.
3. Michigan players flipping off our fans = real classy
4. The future looks bright for Buckeye running backs
5. Why do Big Ten refs never call holding?
6. I can’t believe there isn’t another OSU game for over a month. I may need rehab.
7. I wonder if TP and RichRod spoke after the game
8. I forgot that TP’s cousin plays for Michigan. Didn’t see him on the field. He definitely didn’t catch any passes.
9. I would root for Sparty, but if they couldn’t run against us, there’s no way they’re going to run on Penn State.
10. Nice to see Ray Small out of the doghouse and making plays. Too bad it won’t last.
