ESPN Blog Predicts Pryor Impact for 2008

Adam Rittenberg of ESPN, has written a blog post about 11 Big Ten players he advises fans to keep an eye on. Naturally, Terrelle Pryor is one of those. Mr. Rittenberg has the following to say:

Ohio State: Terrelle Pryor, QB (6-6, 220, Fr.) — An obvious choice here. All eyes will be on Pryor and how Ohio State uses the nation’s No. 1 recruit to complement starter Todd Boeckman. The Tim Tebow comparisons are out there, and Pryor’s rare combination of size, speed and strength won’t go to waste as Ohio State tries to get back to the national title game.

Can’t really argue with that. Consensus is that it would damn near take an act from the guy upstairs to keep TP off the field this season.

Then in the very next post, Rittenberg makes some predictions, which he acknowledge as being premature.

Among them is his pick for Freshman of the Year. He gives the nod to Michigan WR Darryl Stonum, then notes that that is only because he feels that Terrelle won’t play enough to snag that honor.

We’ll just have to see about that, now won’t we?

In another news, Coach Tressel has been all over the place promoting his new book. He’s been on Jim Rome’s show, ESPN’s First Take, as well as SportsCenter. Be sure to check it out! One can never get enough Tressel speak.
